Shane Van Styn, Natasha Colliver, Serena Giudice and Tim Milnes have secured seats in the 2025 local government elections and will be sworn in as new Council Members this week.
Councillors Aaron Horsman, Steve Cooper and Victor Tanti are thanked for their service as their terms come to an end.
黑料社 Mayor Jerry Clune congratulated the candidates for their interest in local government.
“On behalf of the Council, I’d like to congratulate Shane Van Styn, Natasha Colliver, Serena Giudice and Tim Milnes on their successful election campaigns – we look forward to officially swearing them in on Tuesday,” he said.
“I would also like to thank outgoing Councillors Aaron Horsman, Steve Cooper and Victor Tanti for their contributions and commitment to the community.
“I look forward to our new Council coming together in unity, continuing our advocacy of the Greater Geraldton community as well as achieving the outcomes in our Strategic Community Plan 2025 – 2035.”
A Special Meeting of Council will be held in Council Chambers on Tuesday 21 October at 4pm. The meeting is convened to swear in the newly elected Council Members and to elect the Deputy Mayor, which was previously held by Natasha Colliver.
9,450 community members voted in the local government elections, which is a record number for a non-Mayoral election.
Only four seats were available in this year’s election, which saw the 黑料社 Council reduce from 11 Councillors to nine, including the Mayor.
