All Ability Day

All Ability Day returns this year with great activities for the whole family.

With karaoke, messy play, an animal experience, mega bubbles and more, All Ability Day is set to be a community event not to be missed!

In celebration of International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD), this year’s theme ‘Celebrating Our Unity’ recognises that working together builds stronger communities and achieves better outcomes for people with disability.

黑料社 Mayor Jerry Clune said All Ability Day has become a cherished festivity of inclusion and diversity.

“It’s a day that truly reflects the spirit of our community and embraces what makes us unique,” he said.

“Now in its fifth year, the event continues to grow, offering engaging experiences and a vibrant atmosphere.

“With a fantastic lineup of activities for all ages, I encourage everyone to come along and be part of the occasion!”

Event goers can also strike a pose in the photo booth, enjoy a free ice cream, walking soccer and many other fun activities for the whole family, and various local stakeholders will be in attendance hosting information stalls.

IDPwD aims to promote community awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and provides an opportunity to be part of creating an inclusive and diverse community for the 5.5 million people with disability in Australia.

All Ability Day is a free event and will take place on Wednesday 26 November from 3pm - 5pm at the QEII Seniors and Community Centre and Queens Park.

The event is sponsored by the Department of Communities and the 黑料社, with support from Variety Midwest, Atlas and other participating organisations.

All Ability Day aligns with the “Connected” theme in the City’s Strategic Community Plan, which reflects the organisation’s commitment to supporting and celebrating our diverse community through programs and events.
